About me
It was the beginning of 1991, when Martin Müller was born. He grew up in the idyllic small township "Frickingen" near Lake Constance. At the local primary school he received his first education. After visiting secondary general school and intermediate secondary school in Salem, he successfully graduated in the technical high school of Überlingen. As a sports-mad and disciplined guy, he looked for a challenge in the basic military service. After this, he left for Canada to broaden his personal horizons. Once there he worked nine weeks on a farm and traveled the next ten weeks penniless across the wild country. During this time Martin learned how few things you need to have a happy life, just how much luxury and abundance we have in the Western European countries and, finally, what it means to be reliant on others for one’s daily sustenance. Sometimes we really are dependant on others. Back in Germany he now had a new ambition. He began his work-study program at the university DHBW in Friedrichshafen and the partner company ESCAD AG in Pfullendorf. The test run "Walk to the sea" in 2011 showed the feasibility of his
new idea of a "Trans Europe Charity-walk“, which he had formed while in Canada. Martin spent more and more time planning this project and discovered the ambition to go to the limits of his capacity, according to the slogen "Unlimited Motion With Ambition". Canoeing along the bank of Lake Constance , he gained experience for a possible crossing of the Oresund Strait between Denmark and Sweden. For the "Oxfam Trailwalker", the biggest charity run in Germany, he made contact with sponsors and collected donations. Having being successful in different sporting challenges like the Strongman Run, the Zugspitz Extremberglauf and the physical aptitude test in Constance and Cologne, Martin demonstrated, on several occasions, his versatility, persistence and power of endurance. Additionally Martin plays soccer in his home team SpVgg F.A.L. in Frickingen and the host team SpVgg Riedlingen in Donauwörth. Besides playing soccer and running, he spends his remaining free time participating in other sports together with his friends.
